  Starting July 1, 2025, Singaporean vehicles entering Malaysia will face a stricter border regime. The grace period for non-compliance with the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) system will officially end, and Malaysia will begin enforcing RM300 fines for those without a valid VEP. Transport Minister Anthony Loke made it clear: this time, there will be no more leeway. This move marks a significant shift in Malaysia’s approach to cross-border traffic control.
