Shophouse in Geylang, Singapore On a Monday morning in the bustling township of Geylang, located in the central region of Singapore , a fire erupted in a shophouse, triggering an emergency response to protect lives and property. The incident occurred at 61 Geylang Lorong 27, prompting the evacuation of approximately 30 individuals from neighboring units. Swift action from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was essential to combat the blaze and prevent further damage. The SCDF was alerted to the fire at around 7:30 am local time.
