Thailand’s former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra , who returned home after 15 years in exile, has been admitted to the hospital due to chest tightness and high blood pressure. This development comes just hours after his arrest and subsequent imprisonment upon landing at Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport. Shinawatra's homecoming on Tuesday was met with his arrest and swift sentencing to eight years in jail by the Supreme Court. Before being taken to the Supreme Court, the 74-year-old paid his respects to the King.
