Bali Implements Environmental Preservation Tax on Tourists In a significant move towards sustainable tourism , the Indonesian island paradise of Bali has announced the implementation of a $10 tax on foreign tourists entering the island, effective from next year. The tax is part of Bali's efforts to preserve its pristine environment and protect its unique cultural heritage .
