His death followed a traumatic brain injury sustained in a car accident on January 31, 2025. The incident occurred in Colorado when a van collided with Cross’s vehicle at a stoplight, resulting in a brain bleed that led to his hospitalization and subsequent placement on life support. Throughout his hospitalization, Cross’s family provided updates on his condition via a CaringBridge site. His wife, Evelyn, and sister, Jenna, expressed gratitude for the support and prayers from fans and the broader community.
