Phumtham Wechayachai, the deputy leader of Thailand's Pheu Thai party, has called upon the caretaker government to refrain from transferring high-level officials as the nation's administration undergoes a transition to a new leadership.

In a statement issued on Friday, Wechayachai emphasized the importance of upholding the constitution and adhering to its provisions during this pivotal period. He specifically highlighted the need to avoid transferring government officials, particularly permanent secretaries across various ministries, as the new government prepares to take the reins.

Wechayachai underscored that the caretaker government, led by Prayut Chan-o-cha, must respect the constitutional mandates, thereby ensuring a smooth and orderly transition of power.
