In a significant development, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United States, has been appointed as the Chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Washington D.C., an influential role that underscores his commitment to fostering stronger ties between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the United States.

The ceremonial baton was passed to Roeslani from the outgoing Cambodian Ambassador to the United States, Keo Chhea, during a formal transition ceremony. The appointment of Roeslani was confirmed on Wednesday, and he shared his gratitude and enthusiasm for the role from Jakarta, Indonesia, on Friday.

Roeslani, who currently holds the position of Vice Minister of State Owned Enterprises in Indonesia, expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment, vowing to continue and amplify the efforts initiated by his predecessors.
