In a heartwarming display of generosity and commitment to improving the lives of the Thai people, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has announced his decision to donate his entire monthly salary and allowances to various charitable foundations throughout Thailand. This remarkable gesture includes contributions to organizations such as the Foundation for Children, underlining the Prime Minister's dedication to supporting those in need.

Chai Wacharonke, the government spokesman, conveyed this noble endeavor in a statement, emphasizing that Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin's primary aim is to make a positive impact on the lives of his fellow citizens. This act of philanthropy coincides with the Thai government's broader efforts to create opportunities for the populace and enhance the quality of children's education.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin currently receives a monthly income of approximately 125,590 baht, encompassing his roles as both the prime minister and finance minister. This substantial sum, which includes a salary of around 75,590 baht and a position allowance of 50,000 baht, will now be directed towards various foundations addressing critical societal needs.

To ensure the efficient allocation of these funds, a dedicated working team will be established to oversee the donation process. The selected foundations, prioritizing those in urgent need, will be the initial beneficiaries of the Prime Minister's magnanimous contributions. Among these, the Foundation for Children holds the distinction of being the first recipient, with plans to extend support to additional deserving organizations based on their identified challenges.

Beyond financial assistance, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has expressed his intention to personally engage with these foundations, aiming to understand their unique challenges and explore viable solutions to address them.
