The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has stepped up its humanitarian efforts by dispatching food supplies to assist thousands affected by heavy rainfall in Davao de Oro Province, Philippines. The recent downpour triggered floods and a landslide in the Elizalde district, resulting in significant casualties, injuries, and property damage.

Mohamed Obaid Alqataam Alzaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Philippines, emphasized that providing food supplies aligns with the UAE's commitment to extending crucial relief during crises, particularly in the face of natural disasters causing severe food shortages. He underscored the UAE's dedication to supporting affected citizens during such challenging times.
