“28 Days Later” returns after years with rage and redemption!

The term "post-apocalytic horror" was unfamiliar to many filmgoers and critics at the time. This 2002 film "28 Days Later" established a new standard in filmmaking, story, narration, and photography. The movie's raw, gritty, and terrifying scenes/screenplay were ground-breaking for the creators and the star, 'Academy Awardee' Cilian Murphy.

Following the premiere of this iconic apocalyptic zombie film, several authors took inspiration from it and built their own zombie universes, including Shaun of the Dead, Black Sheep, Zombieland, and World War Z.

The film begins in a UK city that has been abandoned because of a virus outbreak that turns people into uncontrollable monsters. Jim, the main character, awakens there following a 28-day dispersion. The movie's opening sequence appears quite menacing, and as it progresses, Jim must navigate an infected rouge city to find refuge, which becomes increasingly difficult. The main themes that go through the entire film are apocalypse, horror, survival, and isolation.
