The Brand New Proton’s e.MAS7 has been launched in Malaysia




Car sales in Malaysia grew by 8.7% in 2024, with revenue projected to reach $15–25 billion, according to reports from Mark Lines, Statista, and other trusted sources. In response to this growth, the Malaysian government is promoting eco-friendly vehicles.

On Monday, Proton officially entered the EV market by launching its first electric car, Proton e.MAS7, at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur. The event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, highlighting the collaboration between Proton and Chinese automaker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, which holds a 49.9% stake in the project.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, & a 360-degree camera.

According to Syed Faisal Albar, chairman of the Proton corporation, these cars are carbon-emission-free and completely green.

"We already have the voice command feature, which allows it to follow directions. At the launch occasion, Syed Faisal, Chairman of Proton, stated, "We are pushing ourselves and will now do a Bahasa Malaysia version of the voice command."
