BTS’ Jimin Makes History: ‘MUSE’ Sets New Billboard Record for K-pop Soloists

 



By making "MUSE" the longest album appearance of any Korean solo artist on the Billboard 200, Jimin of BTS set a new milestone. The album is still at number 132 and has been in the Billboard 200 for 30 weeks, according to a new confirmation from Billboard. When Jimin, a Korean solo artist, achieved this record, it was the first time in K-pop history that a single artist had achieved these Billboard requirements.

Having spent more time on the Billboard 200 than BTS member Jungkook's "GOLDEN," which remained there for 25 weeks, the seven-track album is still dominating the music charts. The album's top song, "Who," has achieved success by remaining at number 40 on Billboard's Hot 100 for 29 non-consecutive weeks. who, behind BTS's Dynamite, PSY's Gangnam Style, and FIFTY FIFTY's Cupid, is ranked fourth among the longest-running K-pop solo tracks in Billboard's Hot 100 history.

For the 30th consecutive week, the musical masterpiece "MUSE" has remained at the top of Billboard's World Albums chart, peaking at number two. The lead single "Who," which is ranked No. 26 on the Global 200 and Global Excl. charts, continues to perform well on several Billboard charts. U.S. and No. 28 in terms of song streaming.
