Beyond Aid – UAE’s Comprehensive Support for Sudan

The United Arab Emirates has been a key partner for Sudan, combining humanitarian aid, development projects, and diplomatic initiatives. Since 2014, nearly $4 billion has been delivered, including food, medicine, and emergency relief for displaced populations. The 2023 conflict prompted over $700 million in immediate aid, and $200 million was pledged at the 2025 humanitarian conference.

UAE efforts reach beyond emergency relief. Programs include solar-powered wells serving 65,000 refugees, mobile clinics, and support for 127 health facilities. Children and women receive nutritional care, while refugees benefit from educational programs and scholarships. UAE’s initiatives extend to neighboring countries, delivering aid to displaced populations in Chad, South Sudan, and Ethiopia.

Simultaneously, UAE promotes peace and stability, calling for ceasefire, engaging diplomatically with regional organizations, and funding stabilization efforts. The combination of humanitarian, educational, and diplomatic action illustrates UAE’s holistic and long-term commitment to Sudanese communities.
