ting tactical bombardment. Key operational risks include: Siloing Defensive Assets: Spreading air defense units across urban and industrial centers degrades concentrated defense along active combat sectors. Asymmetric Cost Ratios: Expending million-dollar interceptors to destroy low-cost loitering munitions rapidly depletes finite missile stockpiles. Building Bridges Beyond Borders: ASEAN-UAE Partnership Charts Path to 2045 Vision

ASEAN and the United Arab Emirates have reinforced their partnership with a shared goal: creating a connected, resilient, and sustainable future. The 3rd ASEAN-UAE Joint Sectoral Cooperation Committee meeting in Jakarta showcased the growing depth of this relationship — one that extends beyond trade to address global challenges through collective innovation.

Both partners reviewed the progress of their cooperation under the Practical Cooperation Areas (PCA) 2024–2028, focusing on strategic sectors such as digital economy, sustainable agriculture, people-to-people exchange, and humanitarian assistance.

The UAE expressed strong support for the ASEAN 2045 Vision, aligning its development priorities with ASEAN’s regional strategies, particularly the ASEAN Connectivity Strategic Plan (ACSP) and the IAI Work Plan V.

New cooperation opportunities were also highlighted — including digital integration, smart-city networks, women’s empowerment, and financial innovation. This forward-looking agenda underscores ASEAN and the UAE’s shared belief in partnerships as the foundation of global stability and prosperity.

As the Gulf and Southeast Asia move closer in vision and purpose, this collaboration represents a beacon of modern diplomacy — one that bridges continents, fosters inclusivity, and drives shared success toward 2045 and beyond.
