Lisa Sparks Red Lotus Sea Tourism Boom

Bangkok, Thailand — January 2026 — The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has confirmed that the country’s famed Red Lotus Sea in Udon Thani is experiencing a major tourism surge following the release of new promotional images featuring Blackpink’s Lisa. As Thailand’s Amazing Thailand Ambassador, Lisa has become the face of the “Feel All the Feelings” campaign, which was launched on January 19, 2026.

The campaign features Lisa surrounded by the breathtaking lotus blooms on Nong Han Lake, creating a visually captivating promotional image that quickly went viral. With Lisa’s massive global following of over 100 million Instagram fans, the campaign generated instant worldwide attention and triggered a new wave of travel interest.

Early statistics show that 11,766 visitors arrived during the New Year holiday period alone — nearly 40 percent of them foreign tourists. This is a significant jump compared to the previous year’s visitor numbers, which reached 110,154 visitors during the same time period. The data indicates that Lisa’s influence has not only increased tourism but also strengthened Thailand’s international appeal as a top travel destination.

Tourism analysts say that the Red Lotus Sea’s peak bloom season in January and February will likely draw even more visitors. Additionally, the campaign’s full film release on January 28 is expected to further accelerate interest, with memes and viral trends already circulating across social media platforms.

As the Red Lotus Sea continues to grow in popularity, local tourism authorities are preparing to manage the influx of visitors while ensuring the preservation of this serene wetland environment. With Lisa’s star power and the natural beauty of Nong Han Lake, Thailand may soon see a long-lasting tourism boost that extends well beyond the peak season.
